Promised Pics:)

Mya is not one that wakes up quickly. As you can see above, I took this b/c I thought her bed head was funny but her hair is so light you can't see all of the "craziness" going on:)

Vaughn, Andrew and Morgan built a fort in our basement.

Twins:)

My funny little travelers.

Stand back! Only 10-12 years and they're on the loose!

Hmmm, I bore her already and she's only 1!

Ugh! She has the teenage look down many years too early!

Mr. Donut Man!

Definitely a Tomboy.......or not?

Hi! Today I find another reason why I'm convinced my daughter will be able to keep up with the boys in the neighborhood as she gets older. Vaughn was playing with his race track last weekend. As we packed up for his sleepover with his Mimi and Papa he says he wants to bring that along. We get it all put away and loaded in the car and then Jeff asks me where the 4 cars went that we were racing with. I told him I didn't know I thought he put them with the race track when he loaded it in the car. We find a couple more cars to take and figured the other cars would show up eventually. Fast forward to this morning when I was packing Mya's little "purse" for church tomorrow. What do I find, why 4 racing cars. Not just any 4 racing cars but the exact 4 racing cars we were looking for 7 days earlier on our way out the door! Well, she did put them in her purse so maybe she's trying to be a tomboy girly girl. Only time will tell! :)

Today is a finding a place for everything in the house day, according to Jeff, so hopefully he'll grant me time to post some pics. I know it's been awhile and I've already gone back on my once a week promise. To be fair, not too much has been going on that's "blog worthy."

Funny Little Mya

I promise I have LOTS of pictures coming soon but Mya has just cracked me up the past week and I wanted to share it with you.

The first thing is Mya has learned to make a new sound, "puh." She LOVES making this new sound and she loves the newfound word she has learned to say with her new sound. Now that she can make the puh sound she now can say "Papa" (what the kids call my dad) That is all she says now. No more "mama," or "dada." Just Buh buh buh which is for Vaughn whom she affectionately calls buh buh buh and "papa papa papa." Fear not Mimi, Grandma and Grandpa, your names aren't far behind! They always get the names of the ones who spoil them down very quickly!!! :) Case and point, she's got Papa down you three are definitely next!!!!

My other story is kind of cute. Jeff's nickname for Mya is "stinky." I personally hate it, but his thought behind this is that when she's 15 no one will want to date someone with the nickname "stinky" therefore she won't get on the dating scene until he thinks she's ready. Sweet idea to a point:) Anyway she had a poopy diaper and I said, "Oh Mya you really are stinky!" She then proceeds to say, "dada dada dada dada!" She now associates Jeff with the word stinky. He'd better watch out or instead of daddy he's going to be stinky!!! :)

Pics to come soon! Check on Thursday for a special post. Yet another big day in our house!!! :)

Favorites

We went to visit my grandpa Saturday and on the way up (about 30 minutes into the trip and 30 minutes left)Vaughn fell asleep, Jeff was on the phone and Mya was entertaining herself, a rare moment:), so I decided to take advantage and go through my phone and look at all of the pictures I have taken over the past few months. I wanted to share them with you:) I apologize to Grandma and Grandpa. These are all repeats for you as you get all of the ones I save too:) These are in no particular order either so if you see Vaughn playing in a pile of leaves in a winter coat and the next pic he's in shorts that's why:)

Goofing around with Andrew and Morgan.

Can I buy this?

Big smile!

Cool Cubs shirt Scott! Whoever got you that has GREAT taste! :)

First day of school.

Helping daddy rake the leaves.

This picture is funny. 4 years ago my brother stuck an "I voted" sticker on Vaughn's forehead when he was little. I had to have one of Mya too since both kids were born in an election year.

I like your hat Cole!!!

Mya's first encounter with a lemon.

Cute pigtails Taylor!

Vaughn is all ready for his Christmas program!

Morgan and Mya in a pedicure chair. Morgan wants to take Mya to get her toes painted this summer. If anything it'll make for good memories!

Just like his mommy and daddy, not a morning person.

My goofy little travelers.

Enjoying her new found freedom using the "solider crawl." She gets up on her knees and is in the perfect crawling position, but then she stretches out and just pulls herself around using her elbows! She's starting to use her knees a little. It's cute to watch her figure it out.

Morgan and Vaughn doing gymnastics.

Papa and Vaughn on a pirate ship. Mimi is there too, but who do you think is taking the picture? :)

Daddy and Vaughn at the restaurant T-Rex in Orlando. Totally recommend it!!!!

Mya doing her signature wrinkled nose smile!

Daddy and Vaughn putting the top on the Christmas Tree.

Ready to go outside!

We're helping Santa and keeping Rudolph for him until next winter:)

Mya and daddy.

I absolutely love this picture! Mya adores Rachea and even though it took a year we finally got a picture of them together!!! They're even color coordinated! - not planned:)

He loves winter like his mommy. As you can see beside him is part of Mya and she's not a fan. She kind of looks disgusted with it:) Just wait, I'll bring her over to my side - she'll celebrate the snow just like Vaughn and I do. Maybe we'll teach her the snow dance too!

This is my grandpa on my dad's side, the one we went to visit. He looks so content holding her. Love you Grandpa!!!

A Vaughn Moment

Before I share this story that is all of a paragraph, let me start from the beginning. Our neighbors across the street have a little boy, Andrew, who is 5. In Vaughn's eyes, the sun rises and sets in Andrew. He is just the coolest kid on the planet to Vaughn. We are very fortunate to be neighbors to such a nice family as well as one with kids Vaughn's age.

Andrew has been racing dirt bikes for the past 2 years and last year they built a really cool dirt bike track on their property. Last summer we went to one of Andrew's races. Vaughn was INSTANTLY in awe of the whole sport. We even took Mya. I wasn't sure how'd she'd do with all of the loud noise, but she laughed HYSTERICALLY the entire time we were there! It was so funny! So after that race Vaughn decided he wanted to race dirt bikes too and in November when Jeff and I asked him what he was going to ask Santa for he said a dirt bike. Well, he actually said 100 of them but we were able to talk him into 1:)

Christmas comes, and we seriously thought about it. We looked online for deals and to get a good one it was just going to be too expensive. Our other reason not to was b/c he has never drove a dirt bike. So, we thought if he could practice on Andrew's this summer then maybe next year Santa could grant Vaughn's request. We decide to get him a few little dirt bikes since he loves to make "tracks" out of anything he can get his hands on. Even his food he makes tracks out of! He was thrilled with them. No mention of disappointment when the "real" dirt bike wasn't left for him. There was a special note from Santa explaining that if he practiced really hard over the summer then as long as Santa thought he was ready he would bring him a dirt bike if he still wanted that next year.

Fast forward to a month later. Vaughn informs me as I was cleaning up dinner that Santa messed up. I said, "How is that?" He said, "He brought me little dirt bikes and not a big one to ride on!" I told him to be more specific with Santa next year and maybe he'd bring the right thing! :) Kids are so funny!!!

Christmas

The beginning of December we attended a kids Christmas Brunch. It was so much fun, as you can see the kids had a lot of fun!

Before we left Mya had to help Mimi decorate her tree!

Eh, decorating is kind of hard so I think I will just play with it instead.

Awe I love my brother, is that my brother?

Rudolph

Look! Santa found his reindeer!

Christmas continued a few weeks later at Mimi and Papa's on Christmas Eve.

Vaughn got a new dart gun so Uncle B and Vaughn set up Papa. Uncle B hid with the gun while Vaughn yelled ,"Papa you gotta come out and see this!"

Papa wasn't going down without a fight so Uncle B teamed up with Papa and Vaughn fell for his own trick this time!!! :)

Daddy and Vaughn playing with Vaughn's new game Elefun.

Time for the wishbone again!

Can you tell who won this one!?

Way to go Vaughn! Two for two this year!

On Christmas day we went to Aunt Claudia's and Uncle Don's. There was lots of fun to be had, but the only pic I got was of Vaughn and Uncle B.
